There have been stories of strange happenings at this Lodi winery for years, according to staff. Employees in the front office, who arrive as early as 4 a.m. during harvest season, “swear they’ve heard mysterious voices and footsteps echoing through the building,” says a spokesperson.
Workers in the cellar believe that the winery is haunted by a little girl they call “La Niña,” who likes to giggle and swing from the lights in the cellar. Oak Ridge Winery, which was built in 1934, has witnessed nearly 100 harvests, yet some staff say it’s the only time of year when things feel “weird,” to the point where some refuse to work the swing shift.

Practice some candle magic by writing intentions to burning them into the universe. Summon spirits with a Ouija board or use a voodoo doll to channel protective energies.
The Feast & Finishing Touches
Complement the evening with some snacks that pair perfectly with the mood and the wine. A charcuterie board with figs, dark chocolate, and spiced nuts would be an elevated interpretation. However, you’ll find that OZV also pairs shockingly well with Halloween candy…and a thematic spread of your favorites would not be out of place.
